We aim to keep things simple here at Lakeland Lights which is why postage starts at £3.95 for UK deliveries. Please select the "Nationwide Delivery" option from your cart when you're ready to check out.
We have 2 different options which provide tracking for piece of mind:
Royal Mail Tracked 48 - £3.95
DPD Courier - £5.95
For UK orders over £35 delivery is free!
When you do spend £35 or more our default Free Delivery option is Royal Mail Tracked 48 but if you wish to upgrade to a service with DPD you can do so for an extra £2.
We aim to dispatch orders within 1-3 business days. Delivery with Royal Mail Tracked 48 is estimated to be 2 working days.
We occasionally use courier services for larger orders. You will receive tracking information for these services if your order ships via this method.
Please advise us during checkout of any special delivery requirements and we'll do our best to accommodate them. We cannot specifically request a delivery to a neighbour or safe place although this can be done by you directly with the courier when you receive tracking information.
If you opt to add delivery instructions with the courier service (via their app or online with them), such as leaving the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place, you are deciding on the way it is to be delivered and it is therefore done at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any parcels that are marked as delivered if you opt to do this. We will always do our best to resolve any issues however that might arise.
We also offer free local delivery for orders over £15 (equivalent to a single candle) to areas around Whitehaven, Egremont, Frizington and Cleator Moor.
On Fridays we also now deliver to Workington and Cockermouth.
Please select the "Free Local Delivery" option when in your cart when you're ready to check out. Enter your postcode and if it's eligible for our service you can then choose the day you wish for us to deliver it to you.
If you have special instructions about where to leave your parcel safely with a neighbour or in a safe place, please include them in your notes when you order. We will always take a photo once delivery has taken place and if you opt to nominate a safe place for us to deliver you do so at your own risk.
If your chosen day is not available it means the slots for that day are full. Please choose another day or you are welcome to collect from our workshop in Cleator Moor instead (see below). If you are unsure whether you qualify for our local delivery service, please get in touch!
We sometimes issue a promo code for our local delivery service to eligible customers. If this code is used without our consent on orders placed outside of our eligible free delivery area, we reserve the right to cancel those orders and issue full refunds.
If you place an order using our Local Delivery service for an address that is not eligible for it, we will contact you to arrange payment for the postage costs or to arrange a refund. You can get free delivery UK wide on orders over £35. We reserve the right to cancel any orders that are placed for our Local Delivery service which are not eligible due to their location - please check your postcode is eligible before checking out.
If you wish to order online and collect in person from our workshop in Cleator Moor, please select the "Free Workshop Collection" option from your cart when you're ready to check out.
Please then choose which day you would like to collect your order. You can collect from our Workshop in Cumbria most weekdays between 10am-4pm.
This option is only available to people able to collect in person from our workshop in Cleator Moor, Cumbria. If you choose this option but are unable to visit our workshop to collect, please either choose our Local Delivery service if you are in the eligible areas or our National Delivery service instead. We reserve the right to cancel ineligible orders and issue full refunds.
International orders are shipped using Royal Mail International Standard. Rates vary depending on weight. Please contact us for your international shipping needs before placing your order. Any local customs or handling fees will need to be covered by the buyer.
