Whilst we technically don't have a retail shop in Cleator Moor, you are certainly able to come and see and smell our products and get anything you would like. We are the only location to hold all of our range of candles and melts so you can always get anything that we make directly from us. To avoid breaking any rules we just complete any transaction off the premises!

As we are not a retail location we don't keep regular shop hours but typically you will find us at our workshop in Cleator Moor Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. Please contact us to double check if you would like to visit on a particular day. You can call us on 01946 389100. We do not work at weekends unless we are holding special Open Days which we announce on our Social Media.

All our candles are made with 100% natural soy wax and the highest quality fragrance oils. Our wicks are natural cotton and paper braided making our products vegan friendly and natural

Soy wax is a renewable source of wax and provides a cleaner burn with less soot than parafin alternatives. Our soy wax is parabin free and non toxic. It is also biodegradable, burns for longer and has an excellent scent throw

We offer two sizes of candles. One size that burns for up to 30 hours and one size that burns for up to 45 hours. Our gift set contains 3 smaller candles, each with a burn time of up to 20 hours.

When you receive your candle, the wick will already be trimmed to 5mm for optimal burn performance. In order to maintain burn performance throughout the life of your candle it is important to trim your wicks to approximately 5mm before every subsequent burn. This helps to control the amount of fuel the candle burns and ensures that you will get the best scent throw and burn pool

For your candle's first burn we recommend an initial burn time of at least 2-3 hours for the 30 hour candles and 3-4 hours for the 45 hour candles. This will allow a sufficient melt pool to develop. You should never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Candles usually reach their full melt pool after 3-4 separate burns so it's important to give them a bit of time! As the wax melts lower into the jar, the jar will warm up and help melt any excess wax ensuring a nice even burn

Soy wax burns differently to other waxes. Sometimes after a burn, the candle may appear to have an uneven surface texture. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the performance of your candle. It is a characteristic of soy wax

Don't throw it away! Our candle jars are totally reusable. Why not turn it into a pen pot or bathroom storage jar? Maybe you can make your own candles? We would love to see what you do with your jars so be sure to upload your photos to social media using the hashtag #reuselakelandlights. We are looking at possible options to reuse empty candle jars and will announce anything on this on our news pages and social media accounts

We accept all major debit and credit cards. We also accept payment via PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. You can also pay using Klarna.

Yes. We do not keep any personal or payment information. Our payments are handled securely by Shopify who are both PCI Service Provider Level 1 offering the highest grade of payment security

We offer tracked delivery across the UK, including Northern Ireland. We aim to dispatch every order within 1 to 3 working days from our workshop in Cleator Moor.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver in 2 to 3 working days after dispatch, including Saturdays. Tracked 48 is Royal Mail's name for the service and the aim starts once your parcel is with them, not from the moment you order. You get full tracking and a photo on delivery. Royal Mail gives no delivery target time for some remote Scottish and island postcodes, so please allow a little longer there.

DPD aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch and sends you a one hour delivery window on the day.

Free delivery on orders over £35 is sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you prefer DPD, you can upgrade for £2. Larger orders may be sent by courier and tracking information will be provided.For full information on shipping please click here.

We also offer a Local Delivery service for orders over £20 to locations around our workshop in Cleator Moor, Cumbria.. You can check if your postcode is eligible and select a delivery day during checkout.

Yes you can! If you are able to visit our workshop in Cleator Moor, Cumbria then please choose the Free Workshop Collection during checkout to collect your order from us for free.

All our candles come in their own individual protective boxes made from kraft cardboard. Each candle box is then packaged in further cardboard packaging along with protective fill to ensure your candle arrives in perfect condition. We aim to use recyclable packaging and sometimes choose to recycle packaging that we receive from our own suppliers to lower our environmental impact. Where possible we avoid all plastic packaging
