About Hospice at Home West Cumbria:

About Hospice at Home West Cumbria:

Hospice at Home West Cumbria (registered charity no: 1086837) provides palliative and end of life care to patients and their families across West Cumbria, covering an area of 400 square miles from Maryport down to Millom and into the Eskdale and Wasdale Valleys. We are the only provider of adult hospice services in this area, meaning that all funds raised by local people help us to provide care for those in need within their own community.

Our nurses deliver palliative care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing the best possible care for people with a life-limiting illness and those who are close to them. Our Family and Bereavement Support team offer one-to-one and group support to patients and their families during the most difficult of times. Our complementary therapists offer treatments including reflexology, Reiki, therapeutic massage, and aromasticks to patients with life-limiting conditions and their loved ones. We are also the sole provider of specialist lymphoedema services in West Cumbria, providing assessments, treatments and advice for patients, families and carers affected by this challenging condition.

We need to raise over £1.2 million each year to deliver these vital services which are provided FREE of charge to those who need them - thank you for helping us to make a difference.
