The wait is over as we reveal not one, not two but three new scents to join the Lakeland Lights Company range of candles!
Our Cleator Moor Candle
The first in our trio of scents is one that is very close to our hearts and something that we've been wanting to do for a while. Cleator Moor is home to our candle making workshop where we design and hand pour every candle in our range. We wanted to create something that reminded us of the familiarity of home - fresh laundry - as well as giving a nod to the area's historical connection with linen manufacture. You may even notice the linen textured print we have used on our labels.
The freshness of peaches and apple give way to notes of white cotton blossom and jasmine. We hope this uplifting and familiar scent shows how proud Lakeland Lights is to call Cleator Moor home.
Our Grasmere Candle
Next up we have our Grasmere candle!
Nestled in the heart of the Lake District there’s perhaps no place that better captures the romance of the Lakes than Grasmere. Take a stroll through a picture perfect village that has fuelled the imaginations of artists and poets for generations.
Be captivated by this modern blend of rose and vanilla beautifully rounded out with a hint of white musk. An enchanting scent for an enchanting place.
Those of you who were lucky enough to get one of our limited edition Lakeland Love candles in February may recognise the scent. We were contacted by so many of you who insisted that the scent needed to become a regular in our range. We felt it was the perfect fit therefore for a scent celebrating the romance of Grasmere and we're delighted to bring it into the Lakeland Lights family permanently!
Our Ullswater Candle
Last, but by no means least, we have our Ullswater candle!
Ullswater was described by Wordsworth as “perhaps the happiest combination of beauty and grandeur, which any of the Lakes affords.”
We've been wanting to create a candle for Ullswater almost since we started the company but finding a scent that could capture the majestic nature of this magnificent area took us a while. The scent we have created offers a richness and warmth with notes of myrrh and tonka bean. A hint of musk and magnolia rounds out this mystical and oppulent scent.
We have to say that his has become a firm favourite with us! It's a great year round candle capturing warm summer evenings as well as being a cosy scent for those longer winter nights. We love it and hope you will too!
A labour of love
We have been working on this trio for a long time, developing the candles throughout lockdown and as we waited for our supply lines to return to normal. We very proud of what we've created and the links we've made between the scents and the locations. We've loved creating these new additions to the Lakeland Lights family and hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do!
All the best,
